Career Transition Assistance (CTA)

From 1 July 2019, CTA will assist mature age job seekers aged to build their confidence and become more competitive in their local labour market.
Participation in CTA is voluntary and available to job seekers aged 45+ who are registered with a jobactive provider whether or not they are in receipt of income support. Job seekers can only be referred to CTA via a jobactive provider.
Designed to increase confidence and motivation; give job seekers a better understanding of available job opportunities in their local area; and support them to tailor applications, based on their skills and experience, to those jobs.
CTA participants will complete 75 hours over the duration of an eight week period. Course delivery consists of a mix of one-on-one, small group and self-directed learning activities.

Understanding the local job market and identifying suitable opportunities
Explore and translate transferrable skills
Improve and tailor resumes
Navigate the job application process
Practise and enhance interview skills
Experience different industries
Functional Digital Literacy
Prepare a Career Pathway Plan
Access Ongoing Support
Participants continue to receive support from jobactive following completion of CTA.
